A note of thanks once again to RNB for a sterling job completing a 170kw solar panel installation at Port of London Authority’s (PLA) Denton Wharf facility.
The project was quite involved, requiring full structural assessment of the roof and subsequent strengthening works before installation could even begin. RNBs expertise in this sector really showed, with their structural engineering sub-contractor taking a ‘real world’ approach to considerations, allowing PLA to have a much bigger installation than was previously thought possible. This improved our green credentials and gave us an even better payback period.
Despite the complexities and risks, RNB completed the build a week earlier than the PLAs year end target – scheduling their sub-contractors with the weather windows to have the system up and running with UKPN sign off on 22nd December.
The system produced terrific results immediately and has continued to do so, even on cloudy days. Importantly, the project completed without any accidents, as we’ve come to expect with RNB
